Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in performing a variety of clerical and secretarial duties to relieve the Administrators of daily administrative and clerical detail; coordinate flow of communications and information between administration and parents; prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an administrative assistant to the Administration
- Assist in assuring smooth and efficient office operations; Coordinate flow of communications and information for the administrator.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to sensitive information while performing public relations and communication services for the Administration.
- Schedule and arrange appointments, conferences and other events.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information and assistance related to school, office and program operations, activities, policies and procedures.
- Prepare and send out notices of staff meetings.
- Oversee activities related to substitute staff; check in and log substitute personnel and provide school information including bell schedules, school map, and related information;
- Assure proper coverage of absent employees and maintain related lists and reports.
- Communicate with personnel and various outside agencies to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education/Training (Requisite Skills and Training):
- An Associate Degree in Business Administration or High School with relevant administrative experience.
- Experience in administrative and secretarial tasks with solid written, oral skills. Must be a proficient MS Office user.
- Must have a strong sense of ownership over tasks and be able to complete it with a “can-do” attitude.
- Should be flexible with work schedule to often work weekend and evening hours as required.
- Must be self-motivated and able to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States. Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
